RAF Spadeadam Married Accommodation

Accommodation for married personnel is provided by the Defence Estates Housing Directorate DE/HD formerly known as the Defence Housing Executive.

Married personnel are provided with married quarters in and around the market town of Brampton. The houses are regularly upgraded and maintained by DE/HD. They comprise of three and four bedroom properties for Officers and Airmen.

RAF Spadeadam Single Living Accommodation

The accommodation for Junior Ranks was recently refurbished and modernised which significantly improved the standard of accommodation for living-in personnel. As well as addressing issues with regard to the infrastructure, the refurbishment also took into account the needs of the occupants, with their requirements being incorporated during the planning and design stages of the project. All rooms have been upgraded, and many rooms have been doubled from the original size. All rooms have modern fitted bedroom units, sink mirror, shaving socket with light and new freestanding furniture. The addition of insect screens to windows, the provision of telephone points, additional electrical sockets and new lighting has also enhanced the standard of living. New carpets and redecoration is evident throughout the accommodation both in the rooms and the communal areas. The Officer and SNCO accommodation has also undergone a refurbishment in line with that of the Junior Ranks accommodation, In addition all rooms have the luxury of double beds.
