“Sport in the RAF“ Exhibition

Project Aim

A project is currently underway to assist the RAF Museum at Hendon in their aspiration to mount an exhibition on ‘Sport in the RAF’, this is to coincide with the London Olympic Games in 2012. The exhibition will be held at RAF Museum Hendon between April and September 2012, covering a Spring/Summer lead-in as well as the duration of both the Olympics and the Paralympic Games. This is a great opportunity for the Royal Air Force to ‘display’ both its current and historic sporting achievements to an international audience interested in sport.

Help is needed to capture and display past and present sporting achievements and identify possible exhibits to represent successes, across all of the competitive recognised and approved sports. All of the Associations have been approached formally seeking information, but much can be achieved by word of mouth and through existing networks of friends, family and work colleagues.
