Continental Technical Official, CTO (ITU Level 2)

The two-day course is designed to enhance the skills of the participants in officiating Continental Cups, Multisport Continental Championships, and Multisport Series Events as Technical Delegates. The knowledge they will gain will be also be used at World Championships, World Cups and Major Events as Technical Officials. Currently there are 132 level 2 officials in the world, after 2 years at this level they may get invited to progress to be a level 3 official.

The Level 2 course builds on the knowledge gained at Level 1 and introduces officiating at open water, paratriathlon and children's events as well as further developing your communication and conflict management skills.

The British Triathlon Level 1 Club / Assistant Referee Award is designed to allow the candidate to referee at local or club events with a pool swim, or as an assistant to a more senior Referee.
