The OV was a huge success, with great triumphs in the CLS Triathlon and fantastic training opportunities in good but challenging weather conditions in preparation for the Interservices Duathlon and Triathlon Championships in Apr and Jul 12 respectively. The OV ran to its budget and all places were filled with a reserve list on constant stand by, however with over 50 applicants and a strict selection procedure it is disappointing that more RAF Tri members could not benefit from the opportunity ...

The summer is fast approaching and the Triathlon season is nearly upon us. The opening event of the RAF Triathlon Sprint Series takes place on 9th May, just under 3 weeks away. Whilst a hardy few of you have already taken the plunge and entered, we are very keen to get the remaining race places filled as soon as possible......

The RAF Triathlon Sprint Series Events are fast approaching and the individual Race Organisers for each event are hard at work planning and organising their events. The Sprint series depends heavily on volunteers to perform various duties and whilst the individual stations will provide a limited number of volunteers, we need further volunteers to ensure that we have sufficient numbers to correctly referee, marshal, time and control the event.

Due to the increasing workload of all involved over this coming year RAF Cosford will not be hosting a Triathlon event. If the situation improves in 2013 the organisers will again consider holding an event. Thank you for the support in 2011.

On Wednesday 23 November Flight Lieutenant Rachel Cadman was named RAF Sportswoman of 2011. This was in recognition of her amazing efforts to become the first female to complete a grueling London to Paris triathlon (Arch2Arc).
