Training

Members of The RAF Triathlon Association (RAF Tri) compete in a variety of multi-event disciplines such as:

  • Triathlon: Swim - Cycle - Run
  • Duathlon: Run - Cycle - Run
  • Aquathlon: Swim - Run

Across a variety of distances, namely:

  • Sprint: Anything 'less than Olympic', such as 750m Swim, 20km Cycle, 5 km Run, but often much less than these distances.
  • Olympic: The 'Standard' distance, of 1500m Swim, 40km Cycle, 10km Run
  • Middle Distance/ Half-Ironman: 1.2mile Swim, 56mile Cycle, 13.1mile Run
  • Long Distance/ Ironman: 2.4mile Swim, 112mile Cycle, 26.2mile Run
