Health and Safety
Royal Air Force Valley has always given a high priority to the health, safety and welfare of its employees and non-employees.
RAF Valley complies with all the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and with all its statutory provisions, subject only to the exceptions and qualifications upon its obligations provided in the legislation or arranged by the Ministry of Defence. All members of staff, whether military or civilian, are required to assist in achieving this compliance, and they are expected to:
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
- Co-operate with their supervisors or any other person so far as is necessary to enable them to comply with any safety duty or requirement.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare.
Employees or Non-employees who see an incident, practice or occurrence that is a real or potential hazard to the health, safety or welfare of any member of the establishment should bring it to the attention of the Station Health and Safety Adviser or their Line Manager.
