Sports and Recreation
There are many clubs at RAF Valley providing for a variety of sports and hobbies.
The Station is willing to establish other clubs providing sufficient interest exists to make them worthwhile.
Contact the Gymnasium or OC TD&F for a comprenhesive list of latest Sports Clubs and contact telephone numbers.
Angling
Open to all Service and MOD Civilian personnel, including contractors employed at Valley and all levels of experience are welcome.
Football
Open to all Service and Civilian personnel working at RAF Valley. Training takes place every Tuesday, games are played on Sundays in one of the local Civilian leagues. RAF Valley also take part in various tournaments such as the RAF Cup.
Golf
RAF Valley has its own golf course which is around the Airfield.
Climbing
Climbing takes place at JSMTC Indefatigable on Anglesy. Climbing is on an evening and is free of charge once you obtain your membership.
Rugby
RAF Valley and RAF Shawbury have a combined side, games take place mainly at RAF Shawbury however they do play merit table fixtures around our local area.
Sailing
RAF Valley has 3 dinghies based at Holyhead sailing club. Membership fees are £20 for annual membership and £5 per year RAFSA Membership.
Ten Pin Bowling
Open nightly within the Dragon's Hanger, RAF Valley has its own 4 lane bowling alley.
Scuba
The rocky shores of Anglesey offer some of the best diving in the UK. There is an abundance of wildlife and many wrecks to visit, even in the shallow waters.
Wakeboard and Waterskiing
RAF Valley Wakeboard and Waterskiing Club also host kneeboarding. They have there own Facebook page containing videos and pictures too.
Gym
Complete with Weights room, carido room, a squash court and a sports hall which is used for various activities such as circuit training, boxercise, spinning, and basketball.
Hockey
RAF Valley Hockey Club train with Bangor City on Tuesday nights at 7pm - 8pm, it as 2 mixed mens and ladies sides that take place in the North West and North Wales leagues.
Surfing
RAF Valley Waveriders hold 'learn to surf' lessons around the local beaches on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm - 6pm depending on the conditions.
