Base Support Wing

For 70 years the Station Headquarters building has acted as the administrative focus for RAF Waddington Personnel, looking after all aspects of family and individual welfare, pay, allowances, messing, discipline, infrastructure management, individual learning, physical education and common core skills training.

Today Base Support Wing is forward looking and agile. It is comprised of 5 main squadrons each responsible for supporting the RAF Waddington’s operational commitments; these are Force Development Squadron, Personnel Management Squadron, Catering Squadron, Resource and Management Squadron and Station Support Squadron. Also within the Wing are the Medical, Dental and the Chaplaincy Centres.

Every level of Base Support Wing strives to develop personnel to enhance their operational effectiveness and to create an environment in which personnel and their families are willing to maintain their commitment to the Service.
