Why does Health & Welfare support exist?

Over the last 10 years the Royal Air Force has changed in the way it operates.  It is now considered to be an "Expeditionary Force" deployable at short notice anywhere in the world.   Services provided by RAF Waddington, and indeed all RAF stations, contribute towards our personnel's readiness and operational effectiveness by providing necessary services such as dental/medical care and assistance in maintaining fitness levels.
