Discounts for the Defence Community - Amongst several websites that advertise companies offering forces discounts, there is only one that is officially recognised and supported by the MOD.
Some other sites with very similar names do not have official status and sometimes charge subscription fees to sign up, the official website does not charge a subscription fee has no hidden charges and no annual fees. Immediate family members of the Defence Community are also authorised to sign up and start taking advantage of the discounts in their own right.

The RAF Benevolent Fund - Lord Trenchard founded the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund in 1919 one year after forming the Royal Air Force. Its remit then was to provide direct welfare assistance to those of the extended Royal Air Force family in need or distress. Today, the Fund's purpose remains the same. This web site is aimed at serving and ex-service personnel. It also has details on the various membership options.

RAF Air Museums - If you have any interest in the RAF then this site is a must and is packed full of information and the history of the RAF. You can go to the museums at RAF Cosford and RAF Hendon.
Imperial War Museum Duxford - Duxford is Europe's premier aviation museum - as well as having one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country. This famous heritage site began as an airfield in the First World War and also played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as an RAF fighter station and later as an American fighter base.

Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms - Shortly after becoming Prime Minister in May 1940, Winston Churchill visited the Cabinet War Rooms to see for himself what preparations had been made to allow him and his War Cabinet to continue working throughout the expected air raids on London. It was there, in the underground Cabinet Room, he announced 'This is the room from which I will direct the war'.
