Flight Lieutenant Adam Littler
Adam is the Team’s Junior Engineer Officer and he flies with Red 1, Squadron Leader Jim Turner. This is his second year with the Red Arrows.
Age – 28
Education – Adam attended Lutterworth Grammar School in Leicestershire before obtaining a Royal Air Force University Bursary and studying for a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering with German at the University of Bath. Adam was a member of Bristol University Air Squadron and during his degree spent almost a year living and working in Germany.
Career – Adam joined the Royal Air Force and completed Initial Officer Training in 2006. Following Engineer Officer Foundation Training, he was posted to Royal Air Force Leeming as Officer Commanding Depth Support Flight, where he worked in partnership with BAE Systems on the “Reduce to Produce” Programme to provide continued logistical support to the Tornado F3 and GR4 fleets. Adam was then posted to Royal Air Force Lossiemouth as a Junior Engineer Officer on 617 Sqn “The Dambusters”, who operate the Tornado GR4. Whilst with 617 Sqn, he was fortunate to undertake a large overseas detachment to Canada.
Background – Adam was brought up in Burbage, Leicestershire but now lives with his wife Phillippa and Labrador Izzy in Lincoln. Adam has a keen interest in classic cars and Formula One. He also enjoys the great outdoors and is a keen cook.
