Circus 10 – Corporal Phil Holt

Phil is an Mechanical Technician and flies with Red 10, Squadron Leader Graeme Bagnall. Circus 10 also travels to show locations with Red 10 to film the display for the pilots’ de-brief. This is his first year on Circus.

Age – 33

Education – Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley. West Yorkshire. He joined 2527 (Lawnswood) Squadron Air Training Corps at the age of 13.

Career – Phil joined the Royal Air Force in 1995. He served with 4 Squadron working on the Harrier aircraft completing detachments all over the world including a 3 year tour in Germany. After completing his further training Phil was posted to XIII Squadron and then to 31 Squadron where he spent 7 years working on the Tornado aircraft. He has completed operational tours in Kuwait, Qatar and Italy. Phil was posted to the Red Arrows in 2007.

Background – Originally from Leeds in Yorkshire, Phil now lives in Lincoln with his fiancée, Andrea who is also serving in the Royal Air Force. In his spare time Phil enjoys skiing, running and kayaking. He is also a supporter of the England rugby team.
