Flight Sergeant Steve Cox
Steve is the Senior ‘Engineering’ Blue and is in charge of the Blues. He deputises for the Engineering Officers.
Age - 49
Education - Belfairs High School, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. He was also a member of Clarendon Venture Scouts.
Career - Steve joined the Royal Air Force in 1978 and trained as a propulsion technician, specialising in aircraft engines. Steve has completed operational tours in the Falkland Islands, Belize, North West Germany, Norway, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. He has supported both Harrier and Tornado operations. This is his third year with the Red Arrows.
Background - Steve now lives in Lincolnshire with his wife Julie. They have two children, Oliver (24) and Lauren (21). In his spare time, Steve enjoys hill walking, rock climbing and skiing. He is a Joint Service ski mountaineering instructor.
