Local Area Information

At the heart of London there stands an ancient place of worship, the Church of St Clement Danes.

The Church was built on the northern bank of the river Thames, just beside the 'old village' Alde Whyche (or the Aldwych as it is called today) in Westminster and in front of the Temple Bar Gate into the ‘City of Lundin’ some time in the 9th century.

The Bells

The bells chime Oranges and Lemons four times a day.

The Organ

The organ was a gift of the American Air Force.
