RAF Typhoon Display Team
Welcome to the Royal Air Force Typhoon Display Team
RAF Typhoon - Force Commander
Group Captain Hitchcock RAF
"Welcome to the 2009 Royal Air Force Typhoon Display, brought to you by servicemen and women from 29(Reserve) Squadron and across RAF Coningsby - the home of the RAF Typhoon Force. The display aircraft are drawn from the entire Typhoon fleet, and represent the four current Typhoon squadrons: No. 3(Fighter). No. XI, No 17 (Reserve) and No 29 (Reserve) Squadrons.
This year's display pilot is Flight Lieutenant Scott Loughran, a Qualified Pilot Instructor on 29(R) Squadron. When not turning himself upside down or pulling up to 9g, Scott's 'day job' is to teach RAF and international student pilots how to fly and fight Typhoon, prior to their posting to the front-line squadrons. A highly skilled Typhoon pilot, Scott represents the professionalism, tenacity and dedication of all of those who serve their country in the modern RAF.
I hope you enjoy watching this fantastic aircraft being put through its paces".
