East Midlands UAS
East Midlands Universities’ Air Squadron (EMUAS) is a Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (RAFVR) unit for students from De Montfort, Leicester, Lincoln, Loughborough, Nottingham and Nottingham Trent Universities.
Our aim is to attract high quality undergraduates, developing them through the activities we offer, thus helping to prepare them for future life, either in the Royal Air Force or in Business.
Squadron members have the opportunity to develop their leadership, management and organisational skills through the environments of adventurous training, sport, military skills, charity activities and social events. At the same time all of our students have the opportunity to learn to fly with RAF flying instructors. The range of activities is broad enough to interest people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
By becoming a member of EMUAS and devoting a portion of your spare time away from your academic studies you will participate in all aspects of these activities, from attendance and involvement through to concept and organisation. You can reap massive rewards and experience the unique camaraderie gained from being part of a vibrant and energetic organisation.
