Station personnel and trainees took part in a simulated aircraft incident, involving mock casualties and safety breaches such as fire hazards.
The medical centre, air traffic control and other station personnel were utilised to give aid, cordon off the incident area and relay information to appropriate parties such as the local emergency services who were also in attendance.
These types of exercises are utilised as a training aid where the station can assess and (where necessary) adapt to their reactions to such an incident.
