Originally established in 1996, DMGSE is located at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. As a member of the PMRAFNS you will integrate, in a tri-service environment, with around 170 military personnel working in partnership with NHS Healthcare Professionals. Frimley Park Hospital was awarded with Outstanding in its latest Care Quality Commission report providing an excellent firm base to maintain and develop professionally and militarily.

There is an excellent 12 month Preceptorship Programme available for newly qualified nurses. Various study and skill days will be available to develop your nursing skills and confidence whilst being supported through a variety of clinical areas by Military and NHS personnel. There are a variety of medical and surgical clinical areas to rotate through and build knowledge in specialist areas such as Intensive care and the Emergency Department.

DMGSE also provide a variety of military training ensuring we are ready to deploy. DMGSE has supported various operations including the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone. Specifically, members of the PMRAFNS at DMGSE have supported the Air Transportable Isolator missions and continue to support a number of other tri-service contingency commitments.

Every year DMGSE provide opportunities such as Adventure Training and an annual Unit Exercise. Sporting events are highly recommended to take part in alongside Inter-Unit sporting competitions. Opportunities to undertake instructor courses are also provided. This ensures there are a variety of opportunities to develop personally as well as clinically.
