PMs Trust

The Princess Mary’s Royal Air force Nursing Services Trust exists to promote the efficiency of the Royal Air Force and in particular the PMRAFNS in such ways as the Trustees see fit. The Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees under the Chairmanship of the Director of Nursing Services (RAF).

The Trust has financial assets at its disposal as well as the holiday lodge – “Skywards Lodge”in Devon which is for the use of serving and retired PMs as well as serving members of the RAF Medical Services.

The Trusts objectives are met through a variety of ways which include:

- Providing assistance and relief of hardship to serving and retired PMs.

- Supporting the development of RAF nursing and education through the award of educational scholarships– You can read an example of our Travel Scholarships through the link on the homepage. Sgt Banks & Sgt Jimbu

The pictures on this page are of Sgt Jimbu and Sgt Banks who utilised the Travel Scholarship in Oct 2011 to research for psychological care pathways and management of victims of genital trauma in the USA at Bethesda Maryland.

- Supporting unit activity for the maintenance of the traditions and ethos of the PMRAFNS through various activities such as adventurous training, sports and team building exercises.

- Supporting PM conferences and symposia.

- Provision of the PM holiday Lodge.

The Trustees meet twice a year but are happy to consider bids for assistance outside of our meetings. Applications for assistance should be made to DNS(RAF) at HQ Air Cmd RAF High Wycombe.
