Puma HC Mk2 and Chinook HC Mk4

Station Events

Rider Skills Day

This annual event, which will be held on Saturday 15 July 2017, promotes rider safety and is open to members of the public upon registration. When registration is open, further details will be available on this page and on our social media.

Families' Day

Each year we hold a private event for our personnel and their families. The event, which will be held on Friday 11 August 2017, is a special occasion to thank our families for their unerring support. It will involve an aerial display by various aircraft including a role demonstration by our own Puma and Chinook aircraft, which will be visible from the local area.

Open Days

The Station does not hold an Open Day for members of the public owing to security considerations and operational tempo. However, we host a number of visits per year that are aimed at ensuring those with a legitimate reason for wanting to visit the Station are extended this opportunity, including local Parish and Town councils, schools, scouting and cadet associations and veterans. If you believe that you have a legitimate reason for wanting to visit then please do get in contact with us.

Reservist Open Evenings

606 (Chiltern) Helicopter Support Squadron (Royal Auxiliary Air Force) also hold Open Evenings which are open to members of the public interested in joining our Reservists. For more information regarding 606 Squadron Open Evenings please e-mail the team.

RAF Presentation Team

The RAF Presentation Team are an 'on the road' team and can provide the general public with audio-visual presentations about the RAF. The Presentation Team includes both a Civic Team, which deliver presentations to large public audiences across the UK, and a Student Awareness Team, which deliver presentations to 6th Form and University students across the UK. Further details of the team and the presentations that they can offer are available on their website.
