NATIONAL SIBLINGS DAY!

11 Apr 2019

The Reece sisters (Casey, Cerys and Cora) are members of 252 (Bridlington) Squadron from Central & East Yorkshire Wing.

Casey (19) joined after her Aunty Sue (Sqn Ldr Leighton RAFAC) suggested she should go along to her local squadron because she had expressed an interest in wanting to join the RAF. Casey went on to have a fruitful time as a cadet; she gained the rank of Flight Sergeant, passed the exams to become an instructor cadet and she has achieved her dream and will be be joining the RAF soon as an intelligence analyst. Her ATC highlights include- being part of the Wing swimming and Hockey teams, and representing North region for hockey.

Cerys, (14) was originally a member of her schools CCF unit but her sister gave her a stern talking to and she then joined 252 squadron! Her favourite experiences so far have been flying and taking part in the swimming championships. Cerys is looking forward to attending more camps, and is hoping she will be picked to go to RAF Valley this year.

Cora, (12) joined RAFAC because she could see how much fun her sisters were having! She has already passed her First Class classification, and is well on the way to completing some parts of the progressive training syllabus.
