Thank you for sending me my gift of photos for my continued support. The engine on fire of a spitfire is quite dramatic. On this week end of VE 70 the vintage planes come into their own. Thank You for keeping the B of B flight planes in good condition for the future. My initials at Birth were V J (victory in Japan) as my Dad served in Burma with RAF sqd 34.

Sorry to hear the news about Thumper but glad no-one was injured. I hope it can be fixed soon because it is the most thrilling thing I have ever seen (OR HEARD!) and I can't wait to see/HEAR it again in the near future. The BBMF do a fantastic job. The Mad WAAF will keep the flag flying for the RAF at Sheffield Cathedral's event tomorrow.

My father served in West Africa in WW11 and he often told us of his time there. I think he loaded bombs on both the Lancasters(in the UK) and the Sunderland flying boats near Freetown. I would love to have been there for your special day at Coningsby.

Had the most enjoyable tour of the Battle of Britain memorial planes, came away with a real feeling of what it must have been like for the brave people involved in the war . A superb visit thank you so much.

When I saw the Lancasters fly at Eastbourne it brought a tear to my eyes. The sound of 8 Merlins, how wonderful. I will remember the sight as long as I live. Thanks to BBMF as hosts and to the Canadians for bringing her over. Hope BBMF will be able to recipricate and go to Canada.
