There has been a delay in the issue of High Street Vouchers for those personnel due to be awarded compensation under DIO's SFA Compensation Scheme.
DIO launched the scheme in the UK on 1 April 2017 for Service personnel and their families where standards have not been met in the following circumstances:
· Missed appointments; and
· Significant defect(s) at move-in.
For successful claims, compensation will be issued in the form of High Street Vouchers. Since the scheme began, a number of Service personnel have put forward claims, most of which have been approved. All claimants have been informed of the outcome of their claim and unfortunately, due to a number of ongoing issues with the voucher supplier, DIO has been unaable to issue vouchers to the successful claimants. DIO said:
'We appreciate this must be an additional source of frustration to those customers, and apologise sincerely for the ongoing delay. We are working closely with the supplier to resolve this issue, and will provide a further update in due course. In the meantime, the Compensation Scheme remains open for new claims.'
As soon as there is any update we will publish it.
