Information about RAF Marham
RAF Marham is located in the County of Norfolk, between the towns of Kings Lynn and Downham Market, with Norwich, Peterborough and Cambridge being the nearest large Cities. The camp is situated in a rural location, but has many facilities available.
Just outside the main entrance there is a large Spar shop, a post office, Barbers / Hairdressers, Thrift shop, library, Marham Bull and Bowl (opens as a cafe in the mornings), SSAFA and The HIVE.
We have six contact houses here at Marham that can be booked for welfare reasons as well as social accommodation.
There is a Nursery and Infant school on the camp with the junior school located in the nearby small village. The local High School is Hammonds and is located in Swaffham.
The Marham Wing is one of the largest and busiest in the RAF, operating 4 squadrons of Tornado GR4 aircraft in the attack and reconnaissance roles. In addition, the Station is home to a number of other key RAF units such as the Tornado Forward Support Wing, Depth Support Wing, No3 (RAF) Force Protection Wing, the Tactical Imagery Intelligence Wing, the Tornado Maintenance School, No 93 Expeditionary Armament Squadron, the Tornado Engineering Development and Investigation Team and 2620 Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment.
