Royal Air Force Number 22 (Training) Group is responsible for the recruitment, selection, initial and professional training of RAF personnel as well as providing technical training for the Army and Royal Navy. The Group provides education and continual development throughout individuals’ RAF careers.

Mission Statement:

To recruit, select and deliver trained personnel on time to meet frontline requirements and deliver a world-class cadet force in order to meet Defence standing, current and contingent operational commitments.

No. 22 (Trg) Gp is headed by Air Vice-Marshal W A W James who is Air Officer Commanding & Chief of Staff, Training.
