Members of No 5 RAF Force Protection Wing Headquarters arrive in Nigeria

Members of No 5 RAF Force Protection Wing Headquarters, No 51 Squadron RAF Regiment and No 4 RAF Police & Security Squadron are established in Nigeria delivering training to Nigerian Air Force Regiment and Police.  The RAF team arrived in country on Friday and have wasted no time in getting the Operations Room set-up, commencing Heat Acclimatisation Training and liaising with their Nigerian Air Force Protection Instructor counterparts to set the conditions for the first phase of the Force Protection in the Complex Air Ground Environment training. The relatively small RAF team will enable training of over 700 Nigerian Air Force personnel, whilst concentrating their efforts on the development and mentorship of the Nigerian Air Force Protection Instructors.
