Flying Officer Joshua Durdant-Hollamby

My career highlight so far

Being a pilot awaiting training has its challenges, but it also affords some incredible opportunities! I would have to say, aside from learning to Nordic ski, being in London on the 10th July for the 100th anniversary flypast is a moment I will never forget and is definitely a career highlight. Equally, taking part in the Great Escape 75th anniversary parade in Poland was another moment that will stay with me forever.

The best thing about my current role

I have done loads of stuff in my current role I never thought I'd do. Most recently, I filmed a documentary following five RAF officers who cycled back to the UK from Zagan in Poland, the location of the Great Escape, for the 75th anniversary. I am however, extremely excited to be moving onto the first phase of my flying training.
