Sergeant Danny Burke

Role

My career highlight so far

Having served in excess of 16 years in the Royal Air Force, it would be difficult to pick just one moment as the main highlight, but I recently received my Long Service and Good Conduct medal and a Station Commanders Commendation. For me, this acts as a recognition for the hard work, dedication and experiences I have achieved or gained throughout my career.

The best thing about my current role

The best thing about my current role is being able to contribute to the introduction of the 5th Generation Aircraft, F35 - Lightning, here at RAF Marham. In addition to this, I am afforded the opportunity to compete internationally for Great Britain in the sport of Luge. A sport I have been competing in for 6 years, achieving multiple individual podium finishes and the RAF winning consecutive Inter-Service Championships.
