Taking time for you; guidance and advice from the Learning Centre and Station Training Flight

During these difficult times it’s important to take time to look after yourself, keeping yourself resilient is key.

Station Training Flight has joined forces with the team at the Learning Centre to bring you a range of opportunities to help you with your mental and physical fitness.

Whether it’s taking advantage of our telephone fitness consultations, making use of our one to one coaching sessions or taking the time to do some mindfulness, we want to support you.

 

Mental Health First Aid

The RAF Akrotiri Training Team have partnered up with RAF Cosford to offer a Mental Health First Aid Session.

This 40 minute workshop exploring ways to maintain & improve your Mental Health & Wellbeing during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Tips, resources, advice and interaction designed to keep you feeling positive during these uncertain times.

As well as a presentation, participants will be encouraged to share their ideas with the group on how best to adapt to the current situation.

Personal Fitness

Remaining physically fit during these times is key. Our PTI’s are working hard to support you. In addition to our daily work outs on the RAF Akrotiri Gym Facebook group we are now offering two Facebook live classes a week and personal telephone consultations to help you put together a fitness programme that suits you. Coaching and Mentoring

How are you finding isolation? Perhaps you have more time to think about your future and could do with support in looking at how to action plan for new opportunities.  Managing long periods of time at home can be challenging, would the opportunity to discuss time management solutions be beneficial? Alternatively, talking through strategies for managing your response to isolation could be useful.

Station Training Flight are now offering one-hour coaching sessions over Zoom App. These are not counselling sessions but a chance to look at positive actions that we can all take during these challenging times. If you are interested, please contact FS Spike McKee at [email protected]

 

Leadership Study

EVERY DAY IS A SCHOOL DAY

For Service Personnel working from home it can feel like you are stuck in rut.  Repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition.

Why not make the most of these long days?  It doesn’t just have to be kids who continue to learn when school’s out.  There is a vast library of reading material available.  Want to hone your leadership skills or simply learn a little bit more about what makes a good leader?  Do you know what AP 3376 Vol 2 is?  Have you read Chief of the Air Staff’s: Personal Statement of Values and Standards?
