It’s up, up and away for two sisters who have graduated side by side from the Royal Air Force College this morning.

Flying Officer Lucy Taylor and Pilot Officer Hannah Taylor have completed the twenty-four weeks of training with the Royal Air Force Officer Training Academy together.

They will now embark on their Royal Air Force journey and start their training as a Pilot and Air Operations (Control) Officer.  Coming from a Royal Air Force family they have experienced military life growing up, and whilst at university they both gained valuable experience as members of their University Air Squadrons.  Lucy at Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde Air Squadron and Hannah at Manchester and Salford Universities Air Squadron.

Lucy and Hannah said:

“We’re really excited about graduating, it’s felt like a long six months, but we’re pleased to be graduating alongside some amazing people.  Going through this together has helped us more than we can say, and graduating together is even more special”.
