Mrs Hamilton was hosted by 45 Squadron on 22 Nov 18. She is seen here holding the trophy she donated to the Squadron.
Mrs Hamilton’s husband Flight Lieutenant James Hamilton sadly passed away following a Vulcan accident in Canada in 1978 during a flying display at Glenview NAS. Following his death, his wife presented a trophy to the Air Electronic, Engineer and Loadmaster School.
The whereabouts of this trophy was unknown to Mrs Hamilton for many years until a serving friend of hers managed to track it down to 45 Squadron.
