We'd like to introduce you to Flight Sergeant Matt Bailey

We’d like to introduce you to Flight Sergeant Matt Bailey – who freely donates his spare time to support the NHS and assisting the wider Lincolnshire community.

By day, Flight Sergeant Matt Bailey is a Qualified Rearcrew Instructor on 45 Squadron, Number 3 Flying Training School based at RAF College Cranwell.

In his spare time Matt is the Operations Manager for Lincolnshire Emergency Medical Response (LEMR); he has been a volunteer for 9 years in total, and Operations Manager for 6 years.  He has responsibility for the overall operation of the scheme.

LEMR utilises approximately 35 volunteers from the Armed Forces and Ex Armed Forces, from all trades and ranks across Lincolnshire.

Volunteers, like Matt give up their own free time to put something back into the Lincolnshire community to provide a rapid and dynamic response to 999 emergency calls in support of East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) and the NHS particularly during this unprecedented period.

Flight Sergeant Bailey said:  “Supporting EMAS allows us to give something back to the community, which is always important, even more so given the current situation.  You never know what the next job will involve and being able to help people in their time of need makes it all worthwhile”.

Remember, we are in this together, wash your hands, stay at home.  Protect the NHS.

If you see them out and about near you – give them a wave!
