Baton Relay

1st Apr - 10th Jul

Starting at the Royal Courts of Justice and lasting 100 days, the relay will feature people from across the RAF, the communities we serve and past members. The baton, which features the RAF crest and RAF100 logo, has been designed by young RAF recruits using materials that symbolise aircraft construction through the ages.

Baton Relay - RAF Wyton

30th JUN

The Air Training Corps (ATC) are at RAF Wyton for Armed Forces Day. Numerous activities with the ATC thoughout day and into the evening. The baton will then be on display at the 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) families day for the afternoon/evening.

Baton Relay - RAF Henlow

3rd Jul

The baton will arrive at RAF Henlow in the afternoon of the 2 July. On the 3 July the baton wil fly in a Tiger Moth to Old Warden where there will be a meet & greet. From there the relay continues on to JFC Chicksands. The baton will arrive and there will be photo opportunity outside of the mansion, then runners will take the baton to the Xscape centre in Milton Keynes for experiences in the wind tunnel and at the Snozone. On the morning of 4 July motorcycles will then take the baton to Bletchley Park.

Baton Relay - Lincoln Cathedral

17th Jun

1100 - 1230

Having rested atop the RAF memorial overnight, the baton will receive a blessing in the Cathedral. This will last around 20 mins, including the Airman's Hymn. The service will form part of the existing Mattins and is open to all.

Baton Relay - Bletchley Park

The baton will be on display throughout the day - RAF Intelligence Recruiting will be there talking to people about the Intelligence branch and there will be a small STEM activty from our Outreach Team.

Baton Relay – RAF Museum Cosford

Come down to the RAF Museum at Cosford on 5th May to see the latest stage of the RAF100 Baton Relay. Here you can also learn about the history of the Royal Air Force.

Come down to the Airworld Museum on 7th May to see the latest stage of the RAF100 Baton Relay. Here you can also visit the former RAF base and explore more about the history of the force in the area.

Baton Relay - Bletchley Park

Come down and see the RAF100 Baton Relay as it reaches one of the most well-known sites that was decisive in winning the Second World War. The home of The Codebreakers, learn more about the role this site played in helping the Royal Air Force and wider forces win the war.

Baton Relay - Folkestone

14th Apr

Come and join the RAF100 Baton Relay when it reaches Kent. There will be a fun for all the family and you can even see the world famous Red Arrows and sit in Red 10 for selfies! All are invited.
