Alongside the aircraft was a classic and performance car display with a total of 80 cars including Aston Martins, Classic Jaguars, Performance Nissan and Subaru’s and Williams and McLaren Formula 1 race cars. As well as fairground rides galore to keep everyone entertained, the day also offered over 50 stalls which were provided from sections around the Station, local charities and from business partners. Every year the Station Commander awards the best stall the prestigious ‘Best Stall’ award. This year this illustrious award was won by the Station Met Office, Group Captain Jones said, “The Met Office won the Best Stall award today because they were so popular. They offered face painting and an interactive educational demonstration of how they forecast where storms go across the Atlantic and the kids loved it. The stall had everything and the Met Office team worked hard to bring it all to life so well done.”

This year Brizefest saw record ticket sales with thousands of people in true festival style camping in the field ready for the performances. John Coghlan’s Quo and Back for Good, the Take That tribute act, played songs to sing to and the crowds roared in delight at the bands Duke and Boomin. The night ended in spectacular style with a fantastic fireworks display.
