The RAF Falcons Launch Their 2017 Display Season

On Friday 05 May 2017, the Royal Air Force (RAF) Falcons Parachute Display Team began their 2017 display season by engaging with local primary school children at RAF Brize Norton.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the RAF Falcons had to unfortunately cancel the display, safety of the Team is absolutely paramount and unfortunately the wind speed was above the maximum level that is allowed for safe, professional parachuting.

However, that did not stop the excitement and fun of the day, at approximately 12:15pm a Chinook helicopter landed on the sports pitches. The RAF Falcons disembarked and lined up in front of a crowd full of excited supporters, shortly followed by a flypast of the impressive C-17 Globemaster.
