The Station Padre, Wing Commander Geoff Withers led a short service of remembrance for the service and civilian personnel at the Oxfordshire base. Silence fell across Base hangar at 11am as personnel remembered those from across the world who died or were injured in the service of their country.

In Carterton’s Memorial Garden, children from RAF Brize Norton Pre School laid pebbles to form a poppy to mark Remembrance. Children who all wore their poppies on their clothes had painted pebbles red, black and green to create a big poppy to remember the fallen.
