Team Name: RAFCAA (Carp)

The RAF Representative Teams from each of the 3 elements, coarse, game and sea, compete at the highest national levels, routinely win the Inter-Services, and boast more than a handful of international anglers.

The latest iteration of the sport, that of competitive carp angling, is no less high profile and is the most rapidly growing element, boasting a core of over 75 anglers of ranks ranging from SAC to AVM, ageing from 18-55 and from the full geographical reach of the RAF, including SHAPE, Gibraltar and Cyprus.

The aim of the team is to promote the sport of competitive angling as well as improving skills for all abilities within the RAF. Read More

2017 Event 5 - Trent View Fishery


09 August 2017

For the 5th and final RAF Inter Station match of the year the RAF Carp Team travelled to Trent View Fishery in Nottinghamshire. With a warm westerly blowing in, and relatively low air pressure the weather was looking good for a few fish during the first afternoon of the match.

2017 Event 4 - Sandhurst


28 July 2017

The RAF Carp Team travelled to Sandhurst Lake in Hampshire for the 4th Inter Station match of the season. Fishing a venue known more for the quality of the fish rather than the quantity a tight match was expected with the possibility of some of the largest fish of the season gracing the bank.
