41(R) Sqn Centenary Parade

41(R) Sqn held their Centenary Parade on Thursday 14 July and it was reviewed by Sir Christopher Harper. As usual our Royal Air Force Photographers were on hand to capture fantastic images of this unique day in the history of the Squadron.

OC 41 (R) Test and Evaluation Squadron said,

"It is a terrific honour to be in command of the 41 Squadron parade on the day that we officially celebrate our Centenary. All of my personnel have worked tirelessly, both on and off the parade ground, to make today happen and I am extremely proud of their efforts and achievements required to recognise this landmark in 41 Squadron’s history. I must extend my appreciations to Air Marshal Harper as the Reviewing Officer, and to all members of 41 Squadron, past and present, and the families, guests and personnel at RAF Coningsby for making this occasion truly memorable. Seek and Destroy."

The Project Officer for the Sqn Centenary said,

“Over the past 100 years, 41 Squadron has been based in 59 different locations around the UK, Europe and the middle east and have flown no less than 33 different aircraft. The Squadron has fulfilled a variety of roles and today it is still leading the way in Fast Jet Test and Evaluation in support of Front Line Operations which is only possible with the great support of our Industry partners and dedicated personnel as well the moral support of our followers and ex-members worldwide, 2 of which served as WWII pilots and are amongst us today. This year, has seen the launch of the 41 Squadron Association and the Seek and Support Charitable fund to mark this momentous and historic milestone. I am immensely proud to serve and be a member of this Squadron in this, its hundredth year, and would like to wish all ex- and current serving members a very Happy 100th Birthday- Seek and Destroy."
