On Wednesday 19 April personnel from RAF Coningsby held the annual ‘Brew for the Few’ to support the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA). During the event they were joined by personnel from RAF Scampton during their ‘Tour of Lincoln’ fundraising cycling event.

13 cyclists from RAF Scampton took part in the ride to all the RAF bases in Lincolnshire to raise funds for RAFA. SAC Stuart Coutts who initiated the event said, “It was a fantastic day of cycling and we were all taken aback by the support that we were given, not only by the individuals involved in the event and those who have given so generously, but also the RAF Stations who put on fantastic events in conjunction with the ride. It was a great display of teamwork and community spirit from all involved.”SAC Jhn Bryce on left and SAC Stuart Coutts in his cycling gear with his bike.

SAC John Bryce said, “I would like to thank everyone that came down to support the Brew for the Few, we managed to raise £50 from the refreshments and cakes, and to be able to show our support for the RAFA cyclist team from Scampton was also an added bonus. Hopefully we will be able to support each other again in future events.”
