Service Institute Fund (SIF) - Norfolk Broads 6-berth Cruiser - Corkey Too for Hire

RAF Neatishead administers on behalf of the Service Institute Fund a ‘Connisseur’ 37ft 6-berth Broads Cruiser. This facility, named ‘Corkey Too’and is situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. This private craft is available only to military personnel and MOD employed civilians together with their families. During the summer months, it is available for a weeks use commencing on a Saturday and out of season for long weekends or mid-week breaks. The craft is fully equipped with two self-contained centrally heated en-suite cabins and a mid-section sleeping compartment. It has a comprehensive inventory, which includes full gas cooking facility, microwave oven, digital colour TV with freeview and dining facilities. The Norfolk Broads is a very popular tourist area offering a unique insight to a comprehensive inland waterway centered on a calmer more sedate way of life. The area is rich with cultivated reserves and home to a whole host of wild life.

Availability:
The cruiser can be hired by any Service personnel or MOD civilivians, but is primarily intended for use by Junior ranks in the first instance.

The following are provided onboard:

Fridge, cooker, showers, television, CD Radio, toilets, three double beds, river map, crockery, cutlery/pots and pans, life jackets (Adult & Children) and cleaning materials.

Facilities
Horning offers a wealth of facilities for you and your family to enjoy beginning with the shops and businesses that provide those last minute essentials that you may have forgotten. The village of Horning has three public houses offering good meals and spectacular views of the broads, all within walking distance. There are also facilities provided by Helska Leisure Centre located next to the Ferry Inn which offer Showers, Spa baths Sauna/Steam room and swimming pool, making the perfect start or end to your holiday, a guide to the price list is as follows;

They also offer a range of snacks and refreshments and a launderette. JB Sales Marina have a small angling shop that provides all ranges of fishing equipment from Novice bundles (Rod, reel and Tackle) for around £20 to more advanced equipment for stocking up your fishing tackle box and bait for your week, they also offer advice and experience to help you get started.

Finally, there is a comments book onboard for any feedback. The craft is managed largely by the feedback that is left for us; good or bad.
