FOAC 1063 take a “paws” from training.

Recently the students of Flight Operations Assistants Course (FOAC) 1063 took some time out of training to assist the Grinshill Animal Rescue in running a dog show at the Quarry in Shrewsbury.

It was a hot, sunny Sunday morning when we arrived at the Quarry and we were busy right from the start, unloading vans and setting up the arena and stalls. As more stall holders arrived, our duties turned to directing and positioning the stall holders and manning the gate.

Once all the stall holders had arrived and set up, the dog show began. With lots of people turning out on such a lovely spring day, our attention turned to collecting entry fees for each category and assisting with handing out rosettes. With all the categories complete and prizes won, we assisted in packing away, manning the gate to allow stall holders to leave.

Everyone on FOAC 1063 thoroughly enjoyed helping Grinshill Animal Rescue with their dog show. We were very pleased to have been given the opportunity to support such a great cause.
