Why are we here?

RAF St Mawgan is the only RAF Station in the whole of the South West of the UK. RAF St Mawgan supports Air Officer Commanding 22 (Training) Group.

The 22 (Training) Group mission is:

To recruit, select and deliver trained personnel on time to meet front line requirements and deliver a world-class cadet force in order to meet Defence standing, current and contingent operational commitments.

Our Priorities

Priorities for 2016:

  • Support to DSTO & ACO as our regular Lodger Units.
  • Facilitate the build up of 505 (Wessex) Sqn RAuxAF.
  • Provide support to arrival of 178 Provo Coy to conduct Op NORTHMOOR over next 2-5 years.
  • Develop our Higher Formation HQ Trg facilities in support of the highest priority events on the Defence Exercise Programme:
  1. CJEF - Griffin Strike March-April 2016.
  2. Joint Venture June-July 2016.
  3. Arrcade Charger September-October 2016.
  • Maximise use of those facilities through engagement with JFC and Air Command A7.
