A busy weekend for the Red Arrows

The Red Arrows carried out Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Flypast on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Based out of Biggin Hill airport, they then returned to provide a display and flypast with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) aircraft.

The team departed Biggin Hill on Sunday, June 14 and carried out a display in front of the crowds at RAF Cosford Airshow, finishing with another flypast with Hurricanes and Spitfires from the BBMF.

Members of the public then got chance to meet the pilots when, after the Red Arrows display, the air crew flew in from RAF Shawbury by helicopter to be at the airshow on the ground. They also visited the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) exhibition at the event, together with meeting members of the University of Birmingham Air Squadron.

On Monday, June 15, the Red Arrows then marked 800 years since the sealing of Magna Carta with a flypast over Runneymede and then, later, over Lincoln Castle before returning to RAF Scampton - just north of the team's home city.
