Corporal Louis Jelley (Avionics)

2017 Circus 4 Blues Age - 28

Education - Born in Kingston upon Hull, Louis completed his A-Levels at Wolfreton School and completed his apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering at RAF Cosford.

Career - He joined the RAF in Oct 2008. After completing his initial trade training he was posted to XIII Sqn at RAF Marham working on the Tornado GR4 aircraft. During his time on the Squadron, Louis was deployed to Afghanistan and on detachment to Las Vegas.

After completing further trade training at RAF Cosford, Louis was posted to the Air Electrical Bay at RAF Marham, during this time he gained an RYA Day Skipper sailing qualification and was fortunate enough to travel to the Caribbean for Adventurous Training on multiple occasions.

Louis joined the Red Arrows in Oct 2014. In this time he was selected as the Road Documentation Controller for the 2016 Display Season and has been detached on Exercises Springhawk and Eastern Hawk, travelling to places such as Greece, India, Malaysia, China, Oman, and the UAE.

Background - In his spare time Louis enjoys growing his own Fruit and Veg, keeping Chickens and walking in the countryside. He lives in Lincolnshire with his partner Tegan, their dog Penny and two cats Emrys and Lola.
