The Further Forces Programme is supported by the Department for Education, MOD, Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation and is delivered by the University of Portsmouth and the University of Brighton.
It is designed to support personnel preparing to leave the Services to become Further Education (FE) technical teachers specialising in Science, Engineering and Technology i.e. teaching students aged 16 or over. The programme offers training, qualifications, specialist mentoring and career opportunities at no cost to the Service Leaver as funding is provided by the ETF and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
