There are three ways for serving personnel to find out their current pension forecast:
Firstly, in the month after your birthday, all serving personnel should receive a Benefit Information Statement which gives a snapshot of the pension you have already earned*
Secondly, Service Personnel can use the online Pensions Calculator.**
Finally, Service personnel can ask for one free written pension forecast from the Veterans UK pensions team. The form to request this forecast is available here.
*If you don't receive a Benefit Information Statement, please raise an i-Support on JPA.
** The Pension Calculator is not suitable for
- Medical discharge
- MPGS engagements
- Late Entry Commission Officers Rank Uplifts (less than 2 years in a substantive rank or more than 3 years in an acting rank)
- Service Personnel with a break in service
- Widow’s forecast (of any kind)
- Deferred pensions
- Divorce valuations
- Medical and Dental Officers
- Redundancy
