On Saturday 6th September, 22 students and 3 members of staff from Yorkshire will embark on a week-long series of triathlons for charity – running, cycling and kayaking a total of 1,082.7 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End. We are aiming to cover 155 miles each day; that's 124 miles for our cyclists, 17 miles for our kayakers and a half marathon each day for our runners, distances befitting the title, Great British Triathlon!

YUAS are no strangers to this kind of challenge; last year 5 students swam the English Channel, raising a total of £4500 for our Charities.

We are raising money to support our amazing Charities who do great work both locally and nationally; Leonard Cheshire Disability, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the RAF Benevolent Fund.

There are two ways to donate:

1. Donate via cheque to the above address, payable to ‘Yorkshire Universities Air Squadron’. To the following address: Royal Air Force, Linton-on-Ouse, York, North Yorkshire, YO30 2AJ.
2. Via bank transfer, reference: ‘GBT’, account number: 10623138, sort code: 16-19-26.
