Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Welcome to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight website
Welcome to the new 2009 BBMF website.
The website contains details of the aircraft, facilities and personnel of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Discover the history behind the aircraft the Flight operates, meet the pilots who fly and the engineers and ground crew who maintain and support these magnificent machines.
2009 promises to be a very busy year for the Flight with our aircraft taking part in commemorating anniversaries of 65th Anniversary of D-Day and Arnhem. We will also be displaying at the major air-shows throughout the year, as well as participating in the Queen’s Birthday Fly-past.
BBMF is proud to support the national Bomber Command Memorial Appeal (BCMA). The Bomber Command Association together with the Heritage Foundation and the Daily Telegraph have launched an appeal to raise funds for a national memorial commemorating the 55,573 aircrew killed on active service during the Second World War. The target is £2million pounds for the appeal.
