No 1 School of Technical Training celebrated its 100th birthday with an Ensign raising ceremony at RAF Cosford on 16 March. The Ensign was raised by AC Buckingham, the most junior apprentice in No 1 S of TT.
The guest of honour was Air Vice-Marshal Bethell, the most senior ex-No 1 S of TT apprentice in the Royal Air Force.
As well as reviewing the parade and meeting personnel, AVM Bethell put the first rivet in a new centenary rivet board.
During his visit, AVM Bethell opened the new heritage room and got a chance to look at the Colour book entry for the course he graduated on in 1986.
