A North Yorkshire Hospice has become the first in the UK to be awarded a 'Veteran Aware' status by the Armed Forces Covenant.
The award to the St Catherine's Hospice was presented at a special ceremony in January 2023 and was supported by RAF Fylindales Commanding Officer Wg Cdr Them Colledge.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families are treated fairly.
RAF Fylingdales supports the local community and partner organisations by promoting the work of the Armed Forces Covenant to enhance the lives of Military Personnel, Veterans and their families.
